Instructions were decent and easy to follow with every part being numbered and referenced when putting it all together. I was able to pack the two sections of the pole solo and only required 2 people to hold up the backboard and a third to slide in the bolts (instructions call for an extra person in each scenario). I dug my hole just a little deeper than 3 feet since some people shared concerns of shaking after install and would suggest getting an auger drill attachment and pole differ at the very least depending on your soil. I have zero problems with it. I can throw the basketball at the backboard and it barely shakes for all of 2 seconds. Very happy with the purchase and glad I went with the 60" size.

This basketball court is the real Deal. Super sturdy and looks great. I got the smoke backboard. It has a slight tint to it. As far as building it, you’ll need 3 people. It says two but 3 is needed because the backboard is really heavy.

In order to have the unit standing tall and beautiful on Christmas morning, I knew I was going to have to get creative because my kids were bound to ask my dad was digging a hole in the yard. So, because I was installing our hoop on the street, I told my kids that I was installing the lower portion of a new mailbox. They bought it. And my son even begged to help. Win, win. The digging of the hole was definitely a chore. I even had a gas-powered auger, but due to rocks that had to removed and broken apart it was tough work. It took me about 5 hours start to finish when you consider cleaning up of the work area and the tools. It was backbreaking work, but in the end I hope it will be worth it to give the hoop that rock solid experience.

I was a little worried that my goal would have a lot of wobble after shots because of the limited number of bags of concrete I could set in the ballast, but boy was I surprised. This thing is ROCK SOLID and is so close to the feel of a gym hoop that I can barely tell a difference. There is just the slightest bit of wobble to my goal after a shot is taken. I'm thinking about filling the bottom of the pole with foam or some type of deadening material or adding some rubber washers in between the anchor plate and the pole to take some of this out, but really it doesn't need a thing. The only thing I could say is I wish the pole itself was a little bit heavier to counter balance the heavy back board. But all in all, I LOCE this goal and am hoping for many years of fun with my daughters on it!!

The hoop was easy to assembly, you can get the job done with 2 people. Installing the glass was a tough one but was able to do so with 2 people, should have used 3 (two holding backboard and one screwing the backboard to the arms.) Now I have as concern about the shaking of the hoop when you shoot jump shots, I’ve noticed that when the hoop is on the 10FT height it doesn’t shake as much as when it’s in the 7FT height. I dug the hole down to 48 inches instead of the 36 inches. I installed extra rebar as well, I thought the hoop would be more sturdy. I let the cement cure for about 5 days. After installation and shooting some jump shots I started to analyzed why it shakes and it’s basically because the arms are holding the backboard in the middle and not at the end of the backboard. I believe that’s the difference between the gorilla hoop and this hoop. Maybe there is a way to make the backboard more stable or stiff so it doesn’t shake. I would have tried to cement the inner post but that will void the warranty. All honesty I recommend this hoop, backboard is very nice specially when you shoot off the glass the hoop does NOT move, only rattles when it hits the front of rim for about 3-5 seconds but if your playing you barely notice it.
