Customer questions & answers
Question:How does it handle? Have you rode it in dirt and grass? How fast will it go. How many hours of ride time ?
Answer:Great on hard road. Leaning forward > start off slow > to get traction on grass. I'm thinking about getting a knobby front tire > for better off road traction at camp grounds. I'm 71 and i love the speed > it's as fast as my golf cart. I go out and ride it up and down the street just for the fun of it.
Question:Does this have a horn
Answer:Yes it has a horn.
Question:Does it have a reverse mode?
Answer:Yes, the MotoTec MT-TRK-500 Electric Trike - 500W does have a reverse mode.
Question:does it break down to put in the truck of a car without using wrenches
Answer:Yes, you would need an allen wrench to remove the seat post at the base. The handle bars fold down with just of a finger screw.
Question:How do you carry it around cause it’s heavy for putting it in the truck of car if it fits?
Answer:WE fold down the handle bars and seat and put in the back of my Chev Equinox with no issue. It is too heavy for me to pick up but my husband has no problem

When I got it, I had to assemble it. I assembled it in my second story apartment and needed two people to help me get it downstairs.... There was a crack in the fiberglass casing that I had to repair. The front tire peels out and I have a hard time getting traction on hills, gravel or wet grass. I bought it as an alternative to my mobility scooter(because I'm disabled). I wanted something that went faster and was more all terrain so I could get more active with my child. The thing that I like the least about it is it has this very chemical gassy plastic smell and I store it in my car when I'm using it regularly and my whole car smells so bad I feel like it's making us sick, so I keep having to figure out where I'm going to store it where I don't have to inhale the fumes. Also the throttle is very sensitive, I barely turn it and it will GO! And sometimes that's not a good thing, I smashed right into a wall with it :/ and the last couple times I used it I had a hard time getting the key into the ignition which is worrying me a bit. But all in all I like the height, I like the quickness, power and the turning... and just being able to get around and having an alternative to my mobility scooter. Also, it folds up nicely, so I can store it in the back of my SUV.(the seat comes off and the handlebars fold-down and to the side)👍🏽🤓
Shay*********umarMy son bought this MotoTech 48v 500w tricycle about six months ago. This is a second review. He uses it to ride back and forth to work about 4 miles away, 20 minutes each way. The battery is preforming well. There is no noticeable loss of power during the day and charges fully each night. Yes, the reviews that claim it is top-heavy and can tip over are true. But so is a bicycle and we learn to ride those. It takes some practice to learn the best way to ride. The front wheel does tend to slip on take off but if you lean forward to get your weight over the front wheel it helps gain traction. When the time comes to replace the front wheel I will replace it With a knobby tire hoping for better traction. Pictured. It can go fast! 25-30 MPH. So wear the appropriate safety gear. Helmet, elbow pads, knee pads. The rear tires have the been the challenge so far. The original tires wore out fast and the inner tubes are thin. I tried the Red 2.50-4 hand truck tires from the local hardware store. They fit well and work fine around the house but on sidewalk and street use they proved to be not durable enough. We are trying the Kendra brand 2.80/2.50-4 from the electric scooter parts store. They also have the knobbys. Changing the rear tires are fairly straight forward but the axle nut is on very tight. Use a breaker bar or pneumatic impact driver. Thorn strip between the inner tubes and tires are a good idea. I have not had to disassemble the front wheel to replace the tire yet. Anyone with experience in doing this? A posting would be much appreciated.
Mim*******lijaThe trike was fairly easy to put together, even though the instructions were a bit lacking. Not hard to figure out, though. Everything was in the box. Not a thing missing. The tire slippage when starting out is a bit of a problem, but once you figure out how to feather the throttle, it's not a problem. The battery seems to last a long time and they even hot glued the terminals to keep them from corrosion. Remember to put the fuse in by the battery or you won't have power. A spare fuse was sent with. My experience when I checked the speed of the trike was about 8 mph on setting 1. About 11 mph on setting 2. And 16 mph on setting 3. Although, you can really get flying if you're going down a slope. Don't forget to re-check all the tightness of the nuts and bolts after a few drives. Lots of fun to take a spin on.
Don******ieI got this for the wife because she wanted to get more sun but can't do a lot of walking. I thought it would be something that she could buzz around the neighborhood on and buzz she does!!! You can go slow if you want to but pour the coals to it and hang on. I has amazing acceleration and easily does the 20mph. Hills are not a problem. The battery lasts a long time, she has never run out of power and she'll ride a good part of the afternoon sometimes visiting with the neighbors.

mar******sonI absolutely love it ! You do have to ride responsible because it can tip over , but I have not had any problems with it . It gets me to the Wal-mart a few miles away and a strip mall . I have a blast on mine everyday ! It was a Xmas present ! I wouldn't recommend it for kids unless they are very responsible and a have a helmet on with a responsible adult present . I have had knee replacement and it's great in the kitchen as well ! I can pull up to the stove to cook without having pain . I never have to get off to move where I just turn around or use reverse. Reverse is a new feature that my last one didn't have. Better than a mobility chair! No problems at all ! Thanks
