Was a Christmas gift for my son who has just started snowboarding. Tells me the board is highly reactive to his movements and leaves him feeling totally in control.

Edwa********nteI have been riding designer Paul Maravetz’ boards since the 90’s so I had high expectations for this split when I bought my Northern Lights last season. The board is versatile in the backcountry and great on the groomed trails as well, navigating boney conditions with a secure edge and winging through the softer snow with snappy turns for the magic carpet ride feel we dream about. Love my CMT Northern Lights, it is a masterful piece of mountain gear that I’m thankful to have ready and waiting for the upcoming mountain adventures of 21-22!

El****oThe east coast has been ridiculously dry so far this winter, so skinning has been limited to resort uphill routes. And while other splits might be a bit of a bummer to take down groomers, the Northern Light lays trench like a frickin backhoe, making those dawn patrols so much more than worth it. And now that we've *finally* gotten some snow, I can say this thing consumes powder like a Wall Street bro straight out of central casting. Great float, bedrock-solid turns, and minimalist graphics to please even the most picky aesthetes out there. And don't tell anybody, but I ride this on the lifts sometimes too. It's that good.

Ab*****o TDid every single trail over the course of 2 days at Mammoth mountain and had no problems. Bombed hills, did a few jumps, few boxes, board held up really well. Bindings stayed together and board was just the right amount of flex that I wanted.

Sus*******lerCabin is making some insane products and offering a serious value. I've been riding their board designer Paul Marevetz Burton boards since the early '90s and later when he started Rome Snowboards. I live in the Bay area and ride Tahoe most weekends. I'm not the rider I used to be, but I still get after it. The Northern Light does it all and it's easy to keep the nose up in POW, it's a mid-flexing board, camber with rocker in the nose and it edges well on the firmer days. Game changer!
