Question: If you’ve had this up for a couple of years, how has it held up? Do you have a lot of wind? We are installing right now and there’s a lot of sway.
Answer: It has held up really good. We have the shade screens for it, but take them down during winter in case we get snow. Don't want the weight on them. There is a little sway if you push hard on the 4x4 pillars, but not from the wind. We get some pretty good wind where I live. Sometimes gusts up to 28 to 35mph. Have not had any problems with it.Question: Does it have to be installed on a deck or patio?
Answer: All our pergolas are designed to be installed on either wood or composite decks, concrete pads or directly in the ground. No, you do not have to install on a deck or patio. The only platform we do not recommend installing on is pavers. In this case you would have to remove the pavers dig holes for the posts and then replace the pavers.Question: Can the width be cut down from 16' to 14'?
Answer: It can be cut down in width if needed, you just have to be mindful that the instructions will need to be adjusted as you get into that area. -

After gathering the other necessary materials together, my wife and I spent the better part of 3 days assembling this Pergola! The instructions are fairly clear, but having basic knowledge and understanding of construction skills is important. We were shorted about 50 screws, so had to substitute. Overall, we are happy with the result.

This pergola is beautiful and was very affordable. We had to modify the size to fit our porch and it worked. The shipper ruined the box for the shade kit and we were missing some essential parts. We called the vendor and Kory made sure we got the parts without any hassle. Would recommend this pergola and company to anyone. Its gorgeous.

This was not a complicated project at all, we had it up within six hours with the help of two other people. The 2 x 6 16 PT was the heaviest an awkwardest part of the project. But as you can see it is beautiful. We added extra square lattice panels due to the fact we get the afternoon sun our house sits east and west. It complemented the Pergola perfectly.
